What you’ll do
As the sun begins to set, casting vibrant hues of blue and orange across the sky, we set off from Cañas Port on a safe boat, embarking on a 15-minute journey through the serene mangroves of Isla Cañas. Known for its lush nature and the strong conservation efforts of its residents, this hidden gem is just an hour from Pedasí. Upon arrival, we’ll indulge in a delicious dinner of local fish or chicken served with coconut rice, savoring the flavors of the region as the stars begin to twinkle overhead.
As night falls, our adventure truly begins. With excitement in our hearts, we’ll board a cart and traverse the palm-lined paths to the beach. Guided by our local expert, we’ll keep a watchful eye for nesting turtles. If fortune smiles upon us, we may witness the incredible moment a turtle digs a nest in the sand and lays her eggs, sealing them with care. This magical experience connects us to the wonders of nature and the delicate cycle of life on Isla Cañas.
