What you’ll do
Learn about the life of the sloths at Gamboa Reserve and take the opportunity to ride through the forest on a canopy gondola.
Gamboa is an exceptional destination, located in the heart of the mystical Soberanía National Park, at the meeting point of the Chagres River and the Panama Canal. Visit the Sloth Sanctuary, the first sloth sanctuary in Panama, where you’ll learn about the Sloth Conservation Program for this species, carried out by the Pan-American Conservation Association. If you’re a fan of tropical rainforest flora and fauna, end your visit with several living laboratories where you can see more than 15 species of butterflies, check out our unique Frog Pond, and learn about native orchids.
Then we’ll take a treetop cable car ride, a unique wildlife perspective, a 600-meter gondola ride soaring above the rainforest for vantage points otherwise unattainable on land.
Almost touching the treetops, you’ll have the chance to see a wide variety of nesting birds, sloths, and several species of monkeys.
