What you’ll do
During your educational trip to Panama City, you will discover a vibrant blend of modernity and history, enjoying the skyline of towering skyscrapers. You can explore Casco Antiguo, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1982, where you can admire its architecture and cobblestone streets rich in over four centuries of history. Your journey includes visits to the majestic Panama Canal and the Biomuseum at Amador Causeway, as well as the archaeological site of Panama La Vieja, where you can climb the tower to view the city just as navigators did in the 14th century. This historic site, founded on August 15, 1519, by Pedrarias Dávila, features the ruins of the first European settlement on the Pacific coast and has been recognized as a Historic Monumental Site since 1976.
El Caño Arquelogical Site, discovered between 1926 and 1927 by American Hyatt Verrill, was excavated under the commission of the Heye Foundation, which sent valuable pieces to the Museum of the American Indian in New York. These pieces, including sculptures with faces and megaliths, may have been transported from as far as 10 kilometers away. The culture associated with El Caño appears to have flourished around 800 A.D. In 2008, a project funded by SENACYT and National Geographic uncovered new evidence, including burials representing funerary rituals and six large multiple tombs of high-status individuals.
A corner where the ancestral legacy is intertwined with vibrant traditions and the warmth of its people. With immersive experiences that allow you to actively participate as wearing our typical costume, the pollera, dancing to local rhythms and living the authenticity of this colorful town. Explore its picturesque streets, and participate in lively festivities. Azuero not only captivates with its culture; its beautiful coastline adds a touch of paradise to the experience. From golden beaches to nearby Iguana Island, join us to explore Pedasi, where culture and coastal nature beauty meet in an eternal embrace.
The province of Veraguas located 38 kilometers from Panama City, the only province bathed by both oceans, represents a territory of historical importance for our country, as well as its conservation of nature throughout its territory. The North of this magical province is the ideal destination for nature lovers called Santa Fe. The town is unspoiled by mass tourism and sits adjacent to the rain forests of Santa Fe National Park.
